This my PDP8 without its covers. This is also known as either the straight-8 or the classic-8. Many later models came along all with various suffixes, but the original was known simply as the PDP8 
Mine is serial number 499 and was manufactured in 1967.

Sorry to say it's a little out of action these day and is waiting for a little love and attention!

Moving this machine around is not for the feint hearted! The hardware manual indicates no special equipment is needed, and then goes on to inform you a normal fork lift truck will do!
